Pennsylvania Route 283 is a Harrisburg-Lancaster freeway corridor in the Susquehanna Valley; it runs parallel to present-day route 230. It is numbered after Interstate 283, which continues north of PA 283 from Middletown a few miles north to Interstate 83. PA 283 has access to the Pennsylvania Turnpike via I-283.
