Interstate 695

Interstate 695, formally dubbed the Baltimore Beltway, forms a circular loop around Baltimore. The majority of I-695 is within Baltimore County, with a stretch in Anne Arundel County and a short portion in the city of Baltimore itself. The Beltway collects and distributes area traffic between mainline Interstates 70, 83, 95 and 97 and is also the physical parent of Interstate 795. It featured the Francis Scott Key Bridge over the tidal Patapsco River, opened in 1977 and lost in a 2024 collapse. I-695 serves, clockwise from the Patapsco, Brooklyn Park, Linthicum, Arbutus, Catonsville, Pikesville, Towson, Parkville, Rosedale, Essex and Dundalk.
